
Liana Lansing, B.M., M.M., musical director of the New Chords, boasts an extensive background as performer and conductor. She has sung professionally with the New York City, Central City, and Santa Fe Operas, the National Chorale (NYC), and the Desert Chorale (Santa Fe). Ms. Lansing toured Europe, Russia, Romania, Scandinavia, Australia, China, and Japan with the Rocky Mountain Singers, directed (for over 25 years) by her father, the late Robert Lansing.
Ms. Lansing received BM and MM degrees in Voice from the New England Conservatory of Music (Boston) and recently completed a second MM in Choral Conducting at C.U., Boulder. She also directs the GAL-axies women's chorus. Recently Ms. Lansing was appointed director of SHIR AMI, a group specializing in Jewish/ethnic folk song.
In addition to all of the above, Ms. Lansing teaches voice privately.
